Ebo Elder

For many years boxing fans have known Ebo Elder as the "Xtreme Machine".  His career began at the age of two, and spanned over 25 years.  He won four consecutive Georgia State Golden Gloves titles and several national championships.  He was the only fighter to fight without a loss on the Holyfield Team and he won a silver medal in the 1998 Goodwill Games World Championships on HBO at Madison Square Gardens.  After nearly 150 amateur fights Ebo missed out on the 2000 Olympic Games due to a motorcycle accident and a broken wrist.

Months later Ebo turned pro.  As a pro he fought to 22 wins, 3 defeats, with 16 wins coming by way of knockout.  He won the WBO Intercontinental, IBA and NABO Championships while winning a fight nominated for "fight of the year" and "knockout of the year" on Showtime.  This fight earned him a #5 world ranking by the WBA.  He also competed on the ESPN reality show, The Contender.

Outside of the ring Ebo has faced many tough battles as well.  Seemingly, his toughest fight has been with his wife of over eight years, Amy.  They were childhood friends, high school sweethearts and married three weeks after graduation.  An unwillingness to accept the call of Christ in their lives led them to a divorce only two years later.  During their divorce Ebo fell into a pattern of drug and alcohol abuse that took him to a near suicide, but God intervened.  Their story of reconcilliation and remarriage is a vitally important message that so many need to hear.  They have been remarried for eight years and have four daughters.

Ebo is now fighting to see people of all ages come to live a life of power and purpose.  While spreading the good news to the unsaved and encouraging followers of Jesus to fight the good fight, his message of new beginnings, second chances, reconciliation and freedom are needed in a world full of deception. He is a gifted communicator whose transparency and authenticity enable him to reach any audience.  His exciting messages are founded in the word of God and expounded upon by amazing real life stories that always captivate the hearts of any crowd.  If you wish to book Ebo please visit our contact us page.
